Job summary

BaseDynamics is seeking a Preservation Architect in Karachi, Pakistan, for a part-time role focused on preserving and restoring historic buildings in the city. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years experience as Preservation Architect.
In-depth knowledge of historical preservation principles, techniques and materials.
Proficient in AutoCAD for creating detailed drawings and plans.

Responsibilities

Conduct inspections of historic buildings and structures to assess condition and identify repairs or restoration work.
Develop preservation plans and strategies considering historical significance.
Collaborate with engineers, contractors and other professionals to ensure preservation work meets standards.
Research materials and techniques used in original construction to guide restoration.
Monitor progress to ensure on-budget, on-schedule delivery.
Maintain detailed records including photos, drawings, and restoration documentation.
