Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
• Proven experience as a Preservation Architect working on historical structures or buildings
• In-depth knowledge of preservation principles techniques materials and technologies
• Strong research skills with the ability to analyze historical data and documents
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough research and analysis to understand the history and significance of the structure or building to be preserved
• Develop preservation plans and strategies that adhere to local laws and regulations
• Collaborate with engineers contractors and other professionals to ensure the structural integrity of the building during restoration or conservation
• Source and select appropriate materials for restoration or conservation projects
• Oversee construction works to ensure quality and accuracy in accordance with preservation plans
• Document all stages of the preservation process for future reference
