Job summary

ICE Consulting is seeking a Desktop Technician/Junior Systems Administrator to join our Lahore office. You will support over 700 users, diagnose hardware and software issues, and maintain secure, stable IT environments across Windows and macOS platforms.

You will manage inventory, assist with Office 365 and Gmail hosted services, implement MFA/SSO solutions, and work with MDM tools like Workspace ONE or Mas360 to secure mobile devices. Strong documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on desktop/support experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Proficient in supporting MacBook systems.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 7 and newer versions.
• Experience with mobile device support.
• Background in desktop support and customer service.
• Familiarity with MDM solutions (Workspace ONE, Mas360).
• Experience with SSO and MFA tools (Okta, OneLogin).
• Proficient with Windows Server 2008+.
• Experience with Gmail and Office 365 hosted services.
• Knowledge of Symantec and ESET Antivirus.
• Experience with printing services and management.
• Familiarity with GPOs.
• Experience with VERITAS Backup Exec.
• Knowledge of hosted VoIP providers (RingCentral, Vonage).
• Ability to produce clear, concise documentation.

About the Role:

This position, based at our corporate offices, involves working autonomously and within small teams to establish, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade hardware and computer systems. You will communicate with colleagues through phone, email, and face-to-face interactions. Additionally, you will keep track of software and equipment inventories while providing tech support for our clients' networks, ensuring robust network security, and educating employees on best practices for computer usage and maintenance.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in a relevant position
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Proficient in providing support for MacBook systems
• Strong knowledge of Windows 7 and more recent versions
• Experience with mobile device support
• Solid background in desktop support and customer service
• Familiarity with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions, such as Workspace One or Mas360
• Experience with Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) tools, like Okta or OneLogin
• Confidence in troubleshooting a wide variety of IT issues
• Proficiency with Windows Server 2008 and newer
• Experience with hosted services including Gmail and Office 365
• Knowledge of security software such as Symantec and ESET Antivirus
• Experience with printing services and management
• Familiarity with Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
• Experience with VERITAS Backup Executive for data backup
