Job summary

HugoBank seeks a seasoned professional to lead the Management Audit unit, delivering independent, risk-based assurance over the bank’s functions, processes, policies, and governance. You will plan and supervise engagements, ensure SBP and IIA standards compliance, and report findings to stakeholders.

The role requires 8–10 years in banking or external audit, with 3–4 years of team leadership, and strong knowledge of banking regulations and internal control frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience in banking or external audit.
• At least 3–4 years leading audit teams.
• Strong knowledge of SBP regulatory framework, banking operations, and risk and control frameworks.
• Working knowledge of IIA standards, COSO and IFRS for banks.
• Proficiency in data analytics, sampling, and root-cause analysis.
• Familiarity with data analytics tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI).

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and execute annual audit engagements.
• Draft clear, risk-rated reports with root causes and recommendations.
• Review processes, controls, and authority delegations across the bank.
• Track management action plans and elevate high-risk items.
• Contribute to methodology, templates, and QA programs.
