Head of External Affairs & Corporate Liaison
Preferred Candidate Background
We are looking for a senior and highly experienced professional with a strong background in leadership, stakeholder management, and corporate/institutional liaison.
Preferred candidates include:
- General / Lieutenant General / Major General / Brigadier – preferably retired senior officers with strong government, corporate, institutional, and stakeholder relationships.
- Senior corporate or government professional with extensive experience in external affairs, government relations, corporate liaison, institutional engagement, or strategic stakeholder management.
Role Overview:
The Head of External Affairs & Corporate Liaison will be responsible for managing and strengthening the organization's relationships with key external stakeholders, government institutions, corporate entities, regulatory bodies, and other strategic organizations.
The role will involve high-level representation, corporate liaison, relationship management, stakeholder engagement, and facilitating strategic interactions on behalf of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior government officials, corporate executives, regulatory authorities, institutions, and other key stakeholders.
- Lead all corporate liaison and external affairs activities.
- Serve as a senior point of contact for important external stakeholders.
- Facilitate high-level meetings, engagements, introductions, and institutional interactions.
- Represent the organization in meetings, forums, conferences, and other strategic engagements.
- Support senior management in establishing and maintaining strategic relationships.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between the organization and relevant government, corporate, and institutional stakeholders.
- Assist in resolving external or institutional matters requiring senior-level engagement and coordination.
- Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships and institutional collaboration.
- Maintain a strong network of senior-level stakeholders across relevant government, corporate, and institutional circles.
- Monitor relevant government, regulatory, and institutional developments and brief senior management on matters of significance.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely follow-up on matters arising from external engagements.
- Handle sensitive external affairs matters with a high degree of discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Provide strategic advice to senior management on stakeholder engagement and external relationship matters.

Experience:
- 15+ years of relevant professional experience in government relations, corporate affairs, external affairs, institutional liaison, stakeholder management, or a related field.
- Retired senior military officers at the level of General / Lieutenant General / Major General / Brigadier with relevant corporate/government liaison experience are strongly preferred.
- Senior professionals from government, public-sector organizations, regulatory bodies, or large corporations with extensive stakeholder networks may also be considered.
