Job summary

Moniepoint is seeking a Head of Engineering, Supply Chain in Pakistan to lead backend and distributed systems supporting inventory, logistics, and device management. This role focuses on scale, data integrity, and operational excellence across millions of devices.

You will own the technical strategy, manage an engineering organization of 25+ engineers, drive platformisation, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into robust solutions.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of overall software engineering experience, with at least 5 years leading engineering teams through growth phases.
• 5+ years of hands-on production Java coding experience as a practising engineer.
• At least 5 years of experience managing managers—leading an engineering organisation through other engineering leaders.
• Deep hands-on experience in supply chain, inventory, warehouse or logistics software at scale.
• Fintech or regulated industry exposure with understanding of device management in payments.
• Strong backend engineering skills for data-intensive, distributed systems.
• Proven system design ability at large scale, managing hundreds of thousands of devices or more.
• Experience growing teams of 20+ engineers and managing stakeholders effectively.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical strategy and architecture for inventory and logistics tools and repair management software.
• Lead an engineering organisation of ~25 engineers, including managers, QA, SRE and Data Engineering.
• Drive platformisation of inventory and supply chain systems for visible and trustworthy data across markets.
• Bridge operational practices with software systems through disciplined solutions.
• Define architecture standards, processes and quality metrics across squads for reliability and data integrity.
• Collaborate with business and operational stakeholders to translate requirements into engineering solutions.
• Hire, mentor and develop engineering managers and senior engineers to scale teams >30.
