Job summary

Beyond EQT Real Estate Development Ltd in Lahore is seeking a hands-on accountant to establish a practical finance function across multiple entities and tax regimes. You will work closely with the founder, external accountants, and advisers, with scope to grow into the Group Finance Manager role as the function develops.

You will collaborate with the founder and advisers to build the finance framework, set up systems, and hire a small team as the group expands.

Qualifications

• Experience as the sole finance person, number two, or head in an in-house finance team of six or fewer.
• Commercial judgement, including investigating invoice costs before processing.
• Persistence in following up with counterparties.
• Precise written English and fluency with AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the obligations calendar across every entity and ensure filings and deadlines are completed on time.
• Brief external accountants in each country, review their work, and manage working relationships and fees.
• Establish the accounting system, chart of accounts, and monthly reporting pack.
• Build and maintain banking relationships across jurisdictions.
• Take ownership of asset disposals and wind-downs, including follow-up, escalation, and closure.
• Develop the finance function and hire and manage team members as it grows.

This is a hands-on build role for an accountant who can establish a practical finance function across multiple entities and tax regimes. You will work closely with the founder, external accountants, and advisers, with scope to grow into the Group Finance Manager role as the function develops.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the obligations calendar across every entity and ensure filings and deadlines are completed on time.
• Brief external accountants in each country, review their work, and manage working relationships and fees.

• Build and maintain banking relationships across jurisdictions.

Job Specification:

• Experience as the sole finance person, number two, or head in an in-house finance team of six or fewer.
• Background in a small company; experience spent entirely in large organisations will not translate.
• 5 to 12 years in finance or accounting, across more than one entity and more than one tax regime.
• Commercial judgement, including investigating invoice costs before processing.
• Persistence in following up with counterparties.
• Precise written English and fluency with AI tools.
