Job summary

Inspire Pakistan seeks a GBV Interpreter to provide confidential, survivor-centred interpretation between survivors and service providers. The role requires neutral, respectful communication, strict confidentiality, and safeguarding adherence.

Responsibilities include interpreting during case management sessions and referrals, coordinating with the GBV Field Supervisor, and supporting program activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s level education preferred.
• Fluency in Dari and/or Pashto required with interpretation between local languages and Urdu/English.
• Experience in interpretation, community work, or humanitarian settings preferred.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and ethical conduct at all times.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate interpretation during interactions between survivors and service providers.
• Ensure messages are conveyed clearly without omission or alteration.
• Use respectful, culturally appropriate language in GBV discussions.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding and Do No Harm principles.
• Coordinate with supervisors for scheduling and support; assist in program activities as needed.
• Avoid case management or giving advice; do not record case information independently.
