Job summary

DevGate is seeking a Full Stack AI Engineer to design, build and ship AI-powered products end to end. You will cover the backend, frontend and AI models, delivering scalable web apps, APIs and data pipelines.

You will work with product and engineering leads to own features from architecture through deployment and monitoring, with opportunities to shape AI-driven workflows and product strategy. Remote work options are available along with on-site/hybrid arrangements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, including full-stack work.
• Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Backend experience with FastAPI, Django, Flask or Node.js.
• Frontend experience with React or Next.js.
• Experience building LLM-powered applications (RAG, tool calling, prompt design).

Responsibilities

• Design and build full stack applications with AI/ML capabilities at their core.
• Integrate and productionize LLMs through APIs, prompt engineering, and pipelines.
• Develop scalable backend services and REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Create responsive frontend interfaces for AI-driven workflows.
• Build and maintain data pipelines for ingestion, preprocessing and evaluation.
• Evaluate model quality, latency and cost, optimizing accordingly.
• Deploy and monitor services with CI/CD, containers and cloud infrastructure.
• Write clean, tested, documented code and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn requirements into solutions.

DevGate builds software and engineering solutions for clients across industries. We are growing our engineering team and looking for a Full Stack AI Engineer who can take AI features from idea to production, covering the backend, the frontend and the models in between.

Role Overview

You will design, build and ship AI-powered products end to end. That includes web applications, APIs, data pipelines and LLM-based features. You will work closely with product and engineering leads and own features from architecture through deployment and monitoring.

Required Qualifications

4+ years of professional software engineering experience, including full stack workStrong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScriptBackend experience with FastAPI, Django, Flask or Node.jsFrontend experience with React or Next.jsHands-on experience building LLM-powered applications (RAG, agents, tool/function calling, prompt design)Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis) and vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector, Qdrant or similar)Experience with Docker, Git and CI/CD Familiarity with at least one cloud platform (AWS, GCP or Azure)Solid understanding of system design, API design and software engineering fundamentals

Preferred Qualifications
