Job summary

Mashreq is seeking a Dev Engineer (Front-end) in Karachi to transform design into responsive web applications within Mashreq Digital. You will work in an agile squad to deliver fast-cycle IT products and collaborate with a Product Owner and cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes modern JavaScript, React, HTML/CSS, and RESTful APIs, with a focus on clean interfaces and great user experiences. You will participate in sprint ceremonies and drive quality through testing and automation.

Qualifications

• Past experience as a frontend developer building modern JavaScript-based web applications.
• Expert experience with HTML, CSS/LESS/SCSS, JavaScript, and responsive design.
• Mobile development experience with either native or web-to-native tooling and frameworks.
• Experience using JavaScript frameworks and libraries specifically React.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and how use them in practice.
• Knowledge of Object-Oriented programming.
• Ability to write effective unit, integration, and end-user automation tests.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Experience as a Developer on a cross-functional agile team preferred.
• Strong communication skills with ability to communicate complex technical concepts and align organization on decisions.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to sprint events including planning, refinements, and demos.
• Collaborate to define functional and non-functional requirements.
• Develop IT products and perform unit tests per customer wishes.
• Design, build and test IT products and automate them.
• Support Life Cycle Management and incident resolution.
• Participate in Continuous Delivery improvements.
• Set up environments and deploy products on infrastructure.
• Monitor product usage post-deployment.
