Job summary

Mashreq Bank PSC in Pakistan seeks a senior Financial Reporting specialist focused on Sundry GLs and Internal Accounts. You will manage monthly variance analysis, ensure compliance with IFRS and internal policies, and drive accurate reporting for group level provisions and ECL.

The role requires CA/ACCA/CPA or equivalent with 6–7 years in financial reporting, preferably in banking, and strong proficiency in Oracle, IFRS, and Excel.

Qualifications

• CA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent qualification required.
• 6–7 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or internal controls.
• Experience in banking/financial services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review Sundry GLs and Internal Accounts for accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and submit Sundry Account reports with variance explanations.
• Perform monthly variance analysis for Sundry GLs and Internal Accounts.
• Review MB Group Sundry Accounts in Oracle for UAE branches and coordinate with subsidiaries and overseas branches.
• Monitor internal controls: reverse balances, abnormal balances, mismatches, GL subsidiary differences, business purpose codes.
• Support month-end closing and post-closing adjustments.
• Monitor Charge/Write Off Accounts with Recoveries reporting.
• Ensure reconciliation of Nostro Mirror accounts for UAE.
• Manage Access review for financial reporting systems.
• Define and update SLA/SOP/APPM in line with bank policy.
• Handle exception management per Governance Framework.
