Job summary

Mashreq in Karachi, Pakistan seeks a skilled professional to oversee FX and MM position management, monitor currency positions, and ensure accurate reflection of deals in the books. Responsibilities

• Ensure all deals in the system are authorized to reflect correct position in the book.
• Monitor and check currency position of the branches to advise covering the exchange position.
• Control FX / MM limits to ensure the dealers are not exceeding the limits.
• Check exchange and deposit rates to ensure correct rates are provided to customers.
• Match all Forex bank deals with customer deals to avoid any exchange position.
• Monitor limits and accounting of Precious Metal transactions to ensure entries are recorded in the books within the approved limit.
• Check Parity Tolerance Report of currencies to prevent wrong exchange rates or losses.
• Monitor daily exchange profit/loss to identify mistakes related to incorrect rates.
• Monitor FX Proprietary Profit/Loss and report to management on daily and monthly basis.
• Ensure all transaction errors are approved and reported to management on a monthly basis.
• Monthly revaluation of Proprietary Interest Rate Swap deals and report P/L to management monthly.
• Prepare FX Margin and Futures Customer Commission reports date-wise and customer-wise for management.
• Prepare Corporate Customers P&L reports and share with Front Office and CAD as per commission sharing.
• Consolidate all Monthly TCM income figures and report to management.
• Prepare all Banking Returns and share with CAD as per SLA.
• Prepare the Survey received from CB regularly.
• Return on Unmatured Forward Exchange Contracts.
• Return on Unmatured Forward Exchange Contracts of Non-resident customers.
• Prepare Statement of Derivatives (IAS-7) and pass related entries to GL and provide report to CAD.
• Prepare Analysis of Large Exposures to Non-Banks and send report to CAD.
• Prepare monthly report of exchange income on vostro accounts.
• Monitor and reconcile Sundry Creditors/Debtors accounts.
• Monitor all suspense accounts and clear after investigation.
• Nostro Management helps cover exchange positions and monitor entries posted by other departments and branches to avoid overdrawing.
