Job summary

LeanOps is seeking a Finance Lead — Controller to own the complete accounting function across a multi-brand portfolio. This senior, hands-on role covers the full books, month-end close, financial reporting, payroll, reconciliations, and internal controls.

You will standardise close calendars, deliver trusted brand-level profitability, and provide leadership with actionable cost-reduction opportunities. Reports to the Founder/CEO as sole owner of finance.

Qualifications

• Six+ years in accounting/finance with ownership of full close.
• ACCA/CA/ICMA/CMA or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience preparing accrual-basis statements and deadlines.
• Multi-entity, multi-currency or multi-cost-centre accounting exposure.
• Advanced Excel/Sheets with large data extracts.
• Proficiency in major accounting platforms.
• Ability to explain financials to non-finance stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ownership of processes and close cycles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate accounting records across all brands.
• Own chart of accounts with traceability by brand, channel, and department.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, supplier payments and documentation.
• Audit-ready invoices, receipts, contracts, and bank records.
• Prepare accrual-based P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow monthly.
• Deliver consolidated and per-brand financials, plus rolling cash forecast.
• Reconcile marketplace settlements and FX differences.
• Lead payroll, budgeting, and cost-control with cost-reduction initiatives.
• Design internal controls and document end-to-end processes.
