Job summary

You will ensure receipts, storage, and issuance to production follow procedures, keeping accurate records and reporting discrepancies. The role requires attention to detail, ability to reconcile documents, and coordination with purchasing, production, and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in fabric, textile, garment or warehouse store environment.
• Understanding of fabric receiving, inspection, storage and issuance procedures.
• Accurate stock recordkeeping and familiarity with inventory registers or systems.
• Ability to reconcile delivery notes, purchase documents, issue slips, and stock.
• Strong attention to detail when checking fabric type, quantity, lot and labeling.
• Basic computer skills, including spreadsheets and data entry.
• Organizational skills to maintain orderly storage and support stock counts.
• Clear communication and coordination with production, purchasing, and quality teams.
• Integrity, reliability and commitment to safe handling and store procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming fabric, verify quantities and specifications against delivery documents, and report discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate stock records and update inventory transactions in registers or system.
• Organize fabric by type, lot and designation, ensuring clear identification and proper storage.
• Issue fabric to production teams against authorized requests with supporting documentation.
• Monitor stock levels, identify shortages or excess, and coordinate replenishment with relevant departments.
• Assist with cycle counts and physical stocktakes, investigate variances and support corrective actions.
• Follow store procedures for safe handling, housekeeping, and protection of materials.
• Coordinate with purchasing, production, and quality teams to resolve material and documentation issues.
