Job summary

PTCL is seeking an Executive Data Center Operations specialist to oversee end-to-end data center management, ensuring 24/7 uptime and alignment with industry standards. You will coordinate with IT, network, vendors, and operations to sustain reliable infrastructure and project delivery.

The role requires 2–5 years of data center experience, a BE in Electrical/Electronics with power focus, and familiarity with safety and compliance frameworks.

Qualifications

• BE (Electrical) or Electronics with power focus; telecom background preferred.
• 2–5 years of hands-on data center operations experience.
• Familiarity with PTCL maternity/paternity leave policy and hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

• Ensure 24/7 data center uptime and maintenance of power, cooling, and security systems.
• Coordinate with SLA vendors, IT, network, building and operations teams.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance and ensure SOP adherence.
• Support audit readiness for standards like TIA 942, PCI DSS, ISO 27001.
• Manage deployment of customer racks and ongoing project execution.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal safety standards.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

Executive Data Center Operations is responsible for managing the end-to-end operations and maintenance of the Data Center, ensuring 24/7 uptime, infrastructure maintenance, and compliance with industry standards. The role involves power and cooling management, disaster recovery planning, vendor coordination, and coordination with SLA vendors.

The candidate must have expertise in facility management, IT infrastructure, and regulatory compliance to support the organization’s business continuity and operational excellence.

HOW CAN YOU EXPRESS YOUR TALENT

• Operation and maintenance of Data center: Ensure 24/7 uptime and reliability of critical infrastructure, including power, cooling, HVAC, fire suppression, and security systems. Looking the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of UPS, generators, PDUs, CRAC/CRAH units, HVAC and BMS.
• Preventative and corrective maintenance work: Implement and maintain preventive and corrective maintenance schedules and work execution in coordination with SLA vendor.
• Vendor, customer & Stakeholder coordination: Manage third-party vendors, suppliers, and service contracts for facility maintenance, security, and compliance. Collaborate with IT, network, building and operations teams to ensure seamless data center functionality. Negotiate SLAs and KPIs to ensure optimal service delivery.
• Internal and external audit coordination and compliance: Ensure TIA 942,PCI DSS,ISO 27001 and internal IS,QA,HSE etc. internal /external including corporate customer audit compliance.
• SLA execution and SOPs implementation : Timely execution of all jobs . Ensure O&M tasks. Ensure SOPs implementation Ensure SLA targets.
• Customer link/rack/project deployment Deployment of customer racks and link ongoing project execution
