Job summary

Brickstech is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to sit at the intersection of engineering, AI, product, and enterprise customers. You will work directly with customers to understand complex business and technical problems, rapidly build and deploy solutions, and turn customer feedback into scalable product capabilities.

This role is not a traditional software engineering position; you’ll move from customer meetings to architecture, prototype, and production deployment without separate teams

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years of professional software engineering, solutions engineering, implementation engineering, or a similar technical role.
• Strong programming experience in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Go, or similar.
• Experience building and deploying production applications.
• Strong understanding of APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and software architecture.
• Experience working directly with customers or enterprise stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate with ambiguous requirements.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and move quickly from concept to implementation.
• Strong understanding of modern AI/LLM capabilities and limitations.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with enterprise customers to understand their technical and business challenges.
• Translate ambiguous customer requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Design, build, test, and deploy production-grade applications and AI-powered solutions.
• Develop prototypes and proof-of-concepts rapidly to validate ideas.
• Integrate LLMs, AI agents, APIs, databases, and enterprise systems.
• Build integrations with platforms such as CRM, ERP, DevOps, cloud, data, and collaboration tools.
• Deploy solutions into customer environments and troubleshoot issues in production.
• Work closely with product and engineering teams to convert recurring customer requirements into core product features.
• Own technical delivery from discovery through deployment and adoption.
• Create reusable frameworks, integrations, and accelerators that reduce future deployment time.
• Participate in customer workshops, technical demos, architecture discussions, and solution design sessions.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both engineers and senior business stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to expand customer use cases and demonstrate additional product value.
