Founded by an environmental engineer who witnessed the visible impacts of plastic pollution in Lahore, the company combines product development, community education, and local partnerships to reduce single‑use plastic and increase awareness of sustainable choices.

The Education & Outreach Intern will support Green Upshot’s community engagement, educational programming, and outreach campaigns in Lahore and surrounding neighborhoods. This role is ideal for a proactive student or recent graduate passionate about environmental education, communications, and grassroots mobilization. The intern will work closely with the outreach lead to design and deliver workshops, coordinate events, and measure engagement outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and delivering school and community workshops on plastic reduction, waste segregation, and sustainable consumer habits.
• Develop clear, audience‑appropriate educational materials and activity guides for children, students, and community groups.
• Coordinate logistics for pop‑up stalls, awareness drives, and partner events across Lahore, including scheduling, volunteer coordination, and on‑site setup.
• Conduct outreach to local NGOs, schools, and small businesses to establish collaboration opportunities and product trial initiatives.
• Collect field data on participant numbers, feedback, and behavioral intent; prepare concise reports and recommendations to improve program reach.
• Support social media content planning by providing community stories, photos, and short write‑ups to augment online campaigns.
• Represent Green Upshot at public events with professionalism and knowledge of the organization’s mission and product offering.

Working at Green Upshot offers hands‑on experience in environmental education, community organizing, and sustainability communications within a mission‑driven startup. The role will include both in‑office coordination and on‑site engagement in Lahore; mentorship will be provided to build skills in program design, monitoring, and stakeholder engagement.
