Dzuh is hiring a Pharmacist in Karachi, Pakistan. The role requires managing the pharmacy under supervision, supervising staff, and reviewing prescriptions for safety and accuracy.

Responsibilities include dispensing medications, sterile preparation, inventory control, infection-control compliance, and maintaining controlled-substance records. Eligible candidates hold a Bachelor’s or PharmD and have at least 1 year of trainee pharmacist experience with Pharmacy Council registration.

JOB SUMMARY:

To manage the pharmacy properly under the guidance and supervision of pharmacy supervisor. Supervise the technical and supporting staff and help them in all respect. Prepares medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders and detecting therapeutic incompatibilities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Dispenses medications following prescriptions issued by an authorized medical practitioner
• Perform or oversees the performance of packing, labeling, measuring, compounding, storing, charging and recording medication use in patient care.

• Prepares sterile products for patient administration, determine proper preparation, packing, sterilization, storage and stability requirements of the products.
• Ensure Infection-control protocols are followed and manage relevant issues accordingly.
• Maintain records for controlled substances and removes outdated-Expired and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory - as per directives of Manager.
• Initiate new development in pharmacy processes where the need arises.

KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES:

• Thorough knowledge about drugs related to their doses, substitution and according to therapeutic category.
• Knowledge of latest development in the field of pharmacy & medicine.
• Good communication skills.
• Good software related knowledge. IT Knowledge.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Academic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy/PharmD, Valid Pharmacy Council registration/licensure
• Professional Qualification: Relevant Short Course
• Working Experience: At least 1 year working experience as Trainee pharmacist
