Job summary

Pearmantra Innovations in Pakistan is seeking a senior Maintenance Planner to lead preventive maintenance across plant equipment, directing resources and plans to achieve zero breakdowns and energy efficiency.

The role requires 8–10 years in the cement industry, a B.Sc. in Mechanical/Mechatronics, strong RCFA and reading technical drawings, MS Office and SAP ERP proficiency, and the ability to coordinate with multiple departments for shutdowns, budgeting and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in the cement industry.
• B.Sc. Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering.
• Strong root cause analysis and ability to read technical drawings.
• Proficient in MS Office and SAP ERP.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and control preventive maintenance activities to meet optimum cost and zero breakdowns.
• Ensure implementation of inspection plans (4S, vibration/temperature, NDT, etc.).
• Utilize SAP PM for notifications, orders, and asset management.
• Prepare RCFA for breakdowns with cross-department coordination.
• Prepare and monitor master plan for shutdowns and spare parts.
• Participate in budget preparation based on wear history and forecasting.

Manage the preventive maintenance activities of all equipment of plant by utilizing the manpower, services and other resources in line with technical standards/SOPs of BCL.

Job Description

• Plan, direct and control preventive maintenance activities efficiently in order to meet optimum cost & zero breakdown to ensure energy efficient & continuous production for the company.
• Ensure inspection plans implementation (like 4S inspection Daily/weekly/Monthly/Yearly basis, weekly inspection plans for all major machines, vibration & temperature collection, balancing, alignment, NDT, borescope inspections, thickness monitoring, etc.) across the works for static and rotary equipment’s in running and stop conditions.
• Ensure SAP PM module efficient utilization for Notification against any abnormalities, order creations for material issuance Settlements etc. New asset/equipment number should be added/deleted in SAP PM module in case of new addition or deletion.
• Ensure the issuance & feedback of implementation of PM departmental checklists and to cross check of all departments.
• Prepare RCFA against breakdown or repeated failure with respective department coordination.
• Ensure preparation & issuance of list of pending/shutdown activities to respective departments for proper planning and spare parts arrangement. Timely preparation and monitoring of master plan for shutdowns/stoppages.
• Take part in budget preparation on basis of wear pattern/history/forecasting.
• Any other job assigned by the management.

Experience and Qualification

• B.Sc. Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering
• 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in Cement Industry.

• Good MS Office Skills and ERP (SAP)
• Must have technical knowledge of preventive, predictive and proactive, maintenance strategies
