Job summary

Pakistan Single Window, recruited on behalf of NAFSA, seeks an experienced Finance Leader to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls for a foundational national program. Based in Islamabad, you will implement government financial rules and lead month-end closes while guiding a growing accounting team.

The role requires 10+ years in finance, a degree in Accounting/Finance (CA/ACCA/CMA preferred), and proficiency in accounting systems and MS Excel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of finance experience, with at least 5 years in accounts/finance operations and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and audit processes.
• Proficiency in accounting systems and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage NAFSA's accounting operations including general ledger, reconciliations, payments, and financial record maintenance.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes and preparation of financial statements/reports.
• Implement internal controls and compliance with applicable accounting standards and government financial rules.
• Oversee bank reconciliations, ledger reviews, and maintenance of supporting documentation for audits.
• Coordinate external and internal audit requirements and ensure timely resolution of audit observations related to accounts.
• Supervise accounts staff and ensure adherence to SOPs, segregation of duties, and documentation discipline.

This position is being recruited by Pakistan Single Window (PSW) on behalf of the National Agri-Trade and Food Safety Authority (NAFSA). NAFSA is being established as a strategic national initiative to strengthen Pakistan's agri-trade ecosystem through enhanced regulatory oversight, facilitation, and modernization of food safety and trade processes. The selected candidate will be part of NAFSA's foundational team, contributing to the development of systems, processes, and institutional capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Manage NAFSA's accounting operations including general ledger, reconciliations, payments, and financial record maintenance.
