Job description

ACT International is seeking qualified and motivated Data Collectors for the School Meal Project in Balochistan. The position is responsible for field data collection, verification, documentation, and data entry to support monitoring and reporting activities of the project.

The incumbent will visit assigned schools and field locations to collect accurate operational and beneficiary-related information and ensure timely entry of data into digital systems and reporting formats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct field visits to assigned schools and operational areas for data collection and monitoring activities.
  • Collect and verify data related to student attendance, meal distribution, beneficiary records, WASH activities, and school observations.
  • Perform spot checks and verify records during monitoring visits.
  • Enter collected data into laptops, databases, spreadsheets, and digital reporting systems accurately and timely.
  • Maintain proper electronic and physical records of monitoring data and documentation.
  • Assist in preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly monitoring reports.
  • Report discrepancies, missing information, or operational issues to the M&E Officer.
  • Coordinate with school staff, field teams, and project personnel during data collection activities.
  • Ensure confidentiality, accuracy, and integrity of collected information.
  • Follow organizational policies, safeguarding standards, donor compliance requirements, and code of conduct.
Qualification & Experience
  • Intermediate, Bachelor’s degree, or relevant educational background preferred.
  • Previous experience in data collection, monitoring, surveys, or field reporting will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in humanitarian, education, nutrition, or school-based projects preferred.
Required Skills
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills are mandatory.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Familiarity with data entry systems and online reporting tools.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
  • Ability to work in field environments and travel to remote areas when required.
