Qualifications

Job description

Data Assistant - Lahore & Sahiwal Region

Under the supervision of the District Reporting Officer (DRO), the Data Assistant will support the implementation of the Benazir Nashonuma Programme (BNP) by collecting, entering, verifying, managing, and reporting programme data. The incumbent will ensure the accuracy, completeness, confidentiality, and timely submission of data and reports in accordance with organizational policies, donor requirements, and programme guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, compile, and enter programme data into the Management Information System (MIS) and other designated project databases.
  • Verify the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data received from field teams before data entry and reporting.
  • Maintain and regularly update beneficiary records, registration data, and programme databases to ensure data integrity.
  • Generate and submit daily, weekly, monthly, and other periodic reports for programme management and decision-making.
  • Conduct routine data validation, cleaning, and verification to ensure high standards of data quality.
  • Maintain organized, accurate, and secure electronic and hard-copy records in accordance with organizational data management procedures.
  • Provide technical support to field teams on data collection, data entry, reporting tools, and documentation requirements.
  • Coordinate with programme staff to identify and resolve data discrepancies, inconsistencies, and missing information.
  • Ensure the confidentiality, security, and appropriate handling of beneficiary and programme data at all times.
  • Assist in preparing dashboards, data summaries, statistical reports, and presentations as required by programme management.
  • Support monitoring, evaluation, verification, and audit activities by providing complete, accurate, and timely data and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor requirements, data protection standards, and programme reporting guidelines.
  • Perform any other programme-related duties assigned by the District Reporting Officer (DRO) or Supervisor.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, Management Information Systems (MIS), Data Science, Social Sciences, or another relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in data management, data entry, MIS, reporting, or database management, preferably in humanitarian or development programmes.
  • Experience working with donor-funded projects, WFP, BISP, NGOs, or INGOs will be considered an advantage.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other MS Office applications.
  • Experience using Management Information Systems (MIS), databases, and digital data collection platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of data quality assurance, validation, and reporting processes.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with integrity.
  • Good organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet reporting deadlines.
  • Fluency in Urdu; knowledge of the local language of the assigned district will be an added advantage.
