About the Role
We are looking for a Cybersecurity Support Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in endpoint security, XDR/EDR administration, DLP, vulnerability management, and application security tools. The role will involve supporting, configuring, troubleshooting, and managing various cybersecurity solutions while ensuring effective security operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, administer, and manage Endpoint Security and Management solutions.
- Perform administration, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of XDR/EDR solutions.
- Support the implementation and management of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies and configurations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Forcepoint DLP configuration and policy-related issues.
- Monitor and manage DLP policies to ensure compliance with organizational security requirements.
- Assist with vulnerability management activities , including vulnerability scanning, assessment, prioritization, and reporting.
- Perform vulnerability scanning and analysis using tools such as Nessus and Rapid7 Nexpose .
- Support application security testing using DAST and SAST tools to identify web application vulnerabilities.
- Analyze security alerts, vulnerabilities, and configuration issues and provide appropriate remediation recommendations.
- Assist in troubleshooting cybersecurity tools and resolving technical issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain technical documentation related to security configurations, policies, incidents, and troubleshooting activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams and customers to support the deployment and effective operation of cybersecurity solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology , or a related field.
- Minimum 6 months of relevant experience in the cybersecurity field.
- Hands-on experience with Endpoint Security and Management solutions.
- Experience in XDR/EDR administration, configuration, and management .
- Basic understanding of DLP concepts, policies, and management .
- Practical knowledge of Forcepoint DLP , including configuration troubleshooting and policy management.
- Basic understanding of Vulnerability Management processes.
- Intermediate-level knowledge of vulnerability scanning tools such as Nessus and Rapid7 Nexpose .
- Basic to intermediate understanding of Application Security , including DAST and SAST concepts and tools.
- Good troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as Security+, CEH, CySA+, or equivalent .
- Experience working with multiple cybersecurity products and security technologies.
- Understanding of common endpoint, network, web application, and security vulnerabilities.
- Experience in a cybersecurity support, SOC, security engineering, or technical support environment.
