Job summary

Habib Bank Limited in Karachi seeks a Cyber Security Research Specialist to push the frontiers of security research, threat intelligence, and prototype development. You will analyze emerging technologies, publish findings, and mentor junior analysts in malware analysis and detection methods.

Lead or contribute to innovation projects, collaborate with IT, risk, and operations teams, and apply rigorous frameworks to build secure banking solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or MIS.
• GIAC certifications such as GREM and GCTI are preferred.
• 4–7 years of overall relevant experience; 2–4 years in threat research or detection.

Responsibilities

• Advance cybersecurity research and threat analysis initiatives.
• Analyze and assess cybersecurity technologies, solutions, and processes.
• Mentor junior analysts, interns, and detection engineers.
• Develop innovative cybersecurity solutions and proofs of concept.
• Lead or participate in innovation projects, including budgeting.
• Publish and present research outcomes and maintain threat intelligence.
