Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events under the guidance of senior security team members.
- Assist in identifying, investigating, and escalating potential security incidents.
- Support vulnerability assessments and remediation activities.
- Monitor network and endpoint security tools to identify suspicious activities.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining security controls and best practices.
- Help maintain security documentation, reports, and incident records.
- Collaborate with IT and infrastructure teams to improve the organization's security posture.
- Participate in security awareness initiatives and follow cybersecurity policies and procedures.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and emerging technologies.
- Perform other cybersecurity-related tasks as assigned by the security team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity field.
- Fresh graduate (0–1 year of experience). Internships, university projects, or cybersecurity competitions will be considered an advantage.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, common cyber threats, and security best practices.
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Exposure to Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) concepts through academic projects, internships, labs, or hands-on practice.
- Exposure to cybersecurity product development, secure software development, or security-focused projects through coursework, internships, or personal projects.
- Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and basic security concepts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving cybersecurity challenges.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to SIEM tools such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, or QRadar through coursework, labs, or internships.
- Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools such as Nessus or OpenVAS.
- Basic knowledge of endpoint security, firewalls, and cloud security concepts.
- Exposure to scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
