Job summary

muSharp is seeking a motivated Cybersecurity Analyst (Fresh Graduate) to join our team in Lahore, Pakistan. This full-time role offers on-site/hybrid work and standard working hours for a security-focused early-career professional.

Responsibilities include monitoring security alerts, assisting in incident response, and supporting vulnerability assessments. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor\'s in Cybersecurity and a strong willingness to learn and grow with the organization.

Qualifications

  • Fresh graduate (0–1 year of experience). Internships, university projects, or cybersecurity competitions will be considered an advantage.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, common cyber threats, and security best practices.
  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, VPNs, and firewalls.
  • Exposure to VAPT concepts through academic projects, internships, labs, or hands-on practice.
  • Exposure to cybersecurity product development, secure software development, or security-focused projects through coursework, internships, or personal projects.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and basic security concepts.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving cybersecurity challenges.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor security alerts and events under the guidance of senior security team members.
  • Assist in identifying, investigating, and escalating potential security incidents.
  • Support vulnerability assessments and remediation activities.
  • Monitor network and endpoint security tools to identify suspicious activities.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining security controls and best practices.
  • Help maintain security documentation, reports, and incident records.
  • Collaborate with IT and infrastructure teams to improve the organization\'s security posture.
  • Participate in security awareness initiatives and follow cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and emerging technologies.
  • Perform other cybersecurity-related tasks as assigned by the security team.
