Qualifications

• Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or Phlebotomy Certification.
• 1–2 years phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Strong data entry and basic computer skills.
• Commitment to infection control and patient privacy.

Responsibilities

• Perform vein, capillary, and skin punctures for blood collection.
• Verify patient identity and orders prior to sampling.
• Explain procedures and provide post-draw care.
• Maintain privacy and high ethical standards.
• Follow biosafety and infection control guidelines.
• Sterilize work area and equipment between patients.
• Dispose of hazardous waste per protocols.
• Monitor supplies and coordinate with admin for procurement.
• Label tubes at bedside with patient details.
• Enter patient data and tracking numbers into the system.
• Coordinate with lab for timely dispatch of samples.
• Assist in compiling operational reports.
