Job summary

Qualifications

• At least one year of relevant experience, particularly of venipuncture on adult and pediatric patients.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally as well as in writing.
• Good command on phlebotomy procedures and adequate knowledge of various collection containers.

Responsibilities

• Verify each patient’s identification and check lab tests requisition slips.
• Perform accurate vein puncture procedures to collect blood.
• Label each patient’s sample container according to laboratory protocols.
• Follow safety precautions and maintain a clean work area.
• Explain phlebotomy procedures to patients.
