Role Introduction

The Business Intelligence Developer plays a critical role in delivering reports, analysis, and dashboards to stakeholders by leveraging business intelligence tools such as IBM Cognos, Power BI, SQL, and PLSQL.

Requirements

• Design and develop business intelligence solutions, including complex reports, visualizations, cubes, and metadata models using Cognos Analytics.
• Troubleshoot and recommend solutions to optimize report and dashboard designs using Cognos 11, Cognos Framework Manager, Unix scripting, and Cognos SDK.
• Build analytical reports and dashboards in Power BI based on business requirements.
• Conduct complex analysis and present findings to influence senior leadership.
• Develop dashboards and reports in Power BI and IBM Cognos.
• Create test scripts in RedShift and Netezza to validate report accuracy.
• Identify and resolve issues to optimize report performance.
• Provide support for ad hoc reporting requests.
• Develop business intelligence reports from discovery through deployment.

Specifications

• Total 8 years of IT experience with minimum of 6 years working with Cognos Suites, trend development, and marketing strategy.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Detail-oriented with strong mathematical and written skills.
• Effective communication with departmental teams, cross-functional partners, and upper management.
• Exceptional planning skills with adaptability to changing environments.
• Solid understanding of business operations and retail management principles.
• Strong teamwork skills with meaningful contributions to collaborative efforts.
