Job summary

Nadeem’s Buffet in Lahore is seeking an experienced Chinese Chef to prepare flavorful, consistent Chinese dishes for buffet service and private events. You will manage preparation, cooking, portioning, garnishing, and replenishment for buffet and event service.

The role requires hands-on expertise in Chinese cuisine, including wok cooking, stir-frying, steaming, and sauce development, with focus on maintaining taste, texture, and presentation during high-volume service.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on expertise in Chinese cuisine, including wok cooking, stir-frying, steaming, frying, noodle and rice preparation, and sauce development.
• Ability to produce consistent flavor, texture, portion size, and presentation in high-volume buffet operations.
• Knowledge of Chinese ingredients, cooking techniques, seasoning balance, and heat control.
• Experience with mise en place, kitchen production planning, buffet replenishment, and event service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Chinese appetizers, soups, noodles, rice, stir-fries, sauces, and other menu items according to established recipes.
• Manage preparation, cooking, portioning, garnishing, and replenishment for buffet and event service.
• Monitor taste, freshness, presentation, temperature, and consistency of all dishes.
• Coordinate with the kitchen team to plan production and maintain smooth service during peak hours.
• Control ingredient usage, minimize waste, and maintain proper storage and stock rotation.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures at all times.
• Support menu improvements and contribute ideas for seasonal or event-based Chinese offerings.
