Job summary

KnowledgeCity is seeking a Head QA to lead quality assurance across all products and own the QA Engineer agent that writes and executes tests. You will define quality gates, ensure robust test coverage, and drive continuous improvement in testing practices.

You will collaborate with Product Engineers and Software Architects to balance code quality with test quality, while advancing automation and AI-powered testing capabilities. Strong English communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with test strategy, planning, execution and quality management.
• Advanced expertise in test strategy, planning, quality metrics, defect analysis, root cause investigation, regression and exploratory testing.
• Strong hands-on experience with performance and load testing using tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Advanced knowledge of API testing using Postman, Swagger, and RESTful APIs.
• Strong SQL/database knowledge, including SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY, and other database operations.
• Proven experience in test documentation and test case design, preferably using Qase or similar tools.
• Strong experience with bug identification, tracking, triage and reporting, preferably using JIRA.
• Advanced knowledge of test automation architecture and designing scalable automation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright or similar modern automation frameworks.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Bitbucket.
• Strong understanding of automated test execution, monitoring and reporting.
• Advanced proficiency with Git/version control.
• Experience configuring and working with AI-powered QA/QA Engineer agents and workflow integration.
• Ability to assess AI agent quality, accuracy, reliability and test outcomes.
• Strong prompt engineering skills for QA and test automation.
• Experience with AI-powered development and testing tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Codex, or Antigravity.
• Experience with Claude (Anthropic) is a strong plus.
• Demonstrated experience in team management, mentoring and coaching QA engineers.
• Strong ability to optimize QA processes and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent quality reporting and stakeholder communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Product and Development teams.
• Advanced English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Define and enforce quality standards across all products.
• Define automated quality gate criteria for releases.
• Establish test coverage requirements and testing strategy.
• Conduct quality audits and trend analysis across products.
• Own the QA Engineer agent training and improve its skills to catch defects and write tests.
• Define testing templates, coverage requirements and defect classification standards.
• Improve agent skills to reduce false positives and increase defect detection rates.
• Resolve quality disputes and edge cases that the QA agent cannot handle.
• Collaborate with Product Engineers on quality issues requiring product decisions.
• Collaborate with Software Architect on code quality vs. test quality intersection.
• Define and drive continuous improvement of QA processes across teams.
