Job summary

HR POD Careers is seeking a senior financial leader to oversee strategy, planning, capital deployment and governance for a regulated lender/fintech environment in Pakistan.

The role requires deep SBP/SECP knowledge, broad regulatory experience, and effective stakeholder management with offshore and Gulf links. Strong emphasis on growth, compliance, and building a lean finance function.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of finance leadership experience, including CFO/Deputy CFO roles.
• Experience in SBP/SECP-regulated lenders, NBFCs, EMI, PSO or PSP in Pakistan.
• Direct experience with NBFC/EMI/PSP licensing and regulatory processes in Pakistan.
• Strong knowledge of SBP/SECP regulations, reporting, governance and audits.

• Experience in an SBP or SECP-regulated lender, NBFC, EMI, PSO, or PSP.
• Direct experience with NBFC, EMI, or PSO/PSP licensing and regulatory processes in Pakistan.
• Strong knowledge of SBP and SECP regulations, financial reporting, compliance, governance, and audits.
• Proven experience in regulated financial services or fintech environments.
• Experience reporting to an offshore parent, Board, or Group HQ, preferably in the Gulf.
• Strong experience in capital raising, funding, treasury, and capital deployment.
• Strong commercial and strategic finance skills, with a focus on growth and regulatory compliance.
• ICAP, ACCA, CPA, or CFA qualification preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills.

• Oversee finance, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with SBP and SECP requirements, including filings, audits, and reporting.
• Manage relationships with regulators, auditors, banks, legal advisors, and financial institutions.
• Strengthen financial controls, risk frameworks, policies, and reporting processes.
• Prepare financial and regulatory reports for the Group CEO and offshore Board/Group HQ.
• Lead capital raising, funding strategy, investor and lender relationships, and capital deployment.
• Advise the CEO and leadership team on growth, profitability, unit economics, and financial strategy.
• Build and lead a lean finance team with the systems and controls needed to scale.
