Job summary

METRO Pakistan is seeking a Category Specialist for Home Care & Disposables to support the Category Manager in buying and merchandising, ensuring 100% shelf availability and timely market responses.

You will conduct market surveys, collaborate with Sales for B2B development, manage promotions with HO, and ensure tendering and negotiations SOPs are followed. A university degree in business or supply chain with 2–4 years in the industry is required.

Qualifications

• University degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Management from a recognized university.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in the relevant industry.
• Experience in sourcing, merchandising, and supplier development is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Category Manager in implementing the buying & merchandising strategy.
• Be responsible for commercial KPIs (Sales/Margin/SC).
• Sourcing excellence and supplier development support.
• Ensure smooth supply chain with 100% shelf availability.
• Conduct market surveys and respond to competition.
• Collaborate with Sales for B2B customer development.
• In-store merchandising with Merchandizing Team & Store Ops.
• End-to-End promotions management with HO colleagues.
• Ensure compliance of tendering & negotiations SOPs.
• Record keeping of audit materials.
• Initiate and devise new projects for home care categories.
