Job summary

METRO Pakistan (Pvt) Limited in Lahore seeks a procurement/category professional to assist the Category Manager in implementing buying and merchandising strategies. You will drive Commercial KPIs, support sourcing and supplier development, and ensure 100% shelf availability with market-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• University degree (Master or Bachelor) in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or any Management Degree from a recognized University.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in the relevant industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Category Manager in implementing the buying and merchandising strategy.
• Responsible for Commercial KPIs (Sales/Margin/SC).
• Support sourcing, supplier development and product sourcing.
• Manage smooth supply chain for 100% shelf availability with proactive response to market shifts.
• Conduct regular market surveys and counter competition with timely actions.
• Collaborate with Sales Team for B2B customer development.
• In-store merchandising with Merchandising Team & Store Ops.
• End-to-End promotions management with HO colleagues; finalize promo prices, track stocks, and analyze post-promo results.
• Ensure compliance of tendering and negotiations SOPs.
• Maintain audit records for tenders, negotiations and supplier documents.
• Initiate and devise new projects for home care categories for growth.

Job Description

• To assist the Category Managerin successful implementation of the buying & merchandising strategy.
• Responsible for Commercial KPIs (Sales/Margin/SC etc.)
• Sourcing Excellence/Supplier Development & support role for Sourcing of products.
• Managing smooth supply chain for 100% Shelf Availability with pro-active approach considering seasonal factors or other dynamic market shifts.
• Regular & frequent Market Surveys (Market/ Competitors) with immediate response to counter the competition.
• Close collaboration with Sales Team for B2B customer development.
• In-store Merchandizing in collaboration with Merchandizing Team & Store Ops.
• End to End Promotions Management in collaboration with HO Colleagues (Promo prices finalization, Stocks follow-up, execution at shelf & post promo analysis).
• Ensuring Compliance of Tendering & Negotiations SOPs (category specific).
• Record Keeping of all Audit related materials e.g., Tenders/Negotiations, Price Confirmations, copies of supplier/article listing documents etc.
• Initiating & devising new projects for home care related categories for significant growth in top line & bottom line.

Qualifications

University degree (Master or Bachelor) in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or any Management Degree from a recognized University with2 to 4 years of experience in the relevant industry
