Job summary

Indus Hospital is seeking a Boiler Operator to join the Facilities Management team. You will operate boilers, perform repairs, and coordinate with engineers to ensure reliable hospital service.

The role requires a minimum matric with DAE and a boiler certificate or higher, with emphasis on safe operation and energy-efficient practices in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Matric with DAE is required.
• Boiler Attendant certificate of competency or above preferred.
• Experience in boiler operation is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate boilers and related equipment effectively, efficiently, and safely, and monitor boiler parameters, equipment performance, and plant conditions to ensure uninterrupted operation.
• Maintain accurate shift logbooks, record operating parameters, and hand over plant status and pending issues to the incoming shift.
• Carry out repairs, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance to ensure trouble-free operation.
• Coordinate with Engineers on the operation and maintenance requirements of plant room equipment.
• Follow safety standards, rules, and regulations during boiler operation, eliminate potential hazards, and implement the Plant Safety Program.
• Ensure proper consumption of water, fuel, gas, and chemicals to keep energy consumption to a minimum and chemical treatment effective.
