Job summary

Telerelation is seeking an experienced Deputy BMS Controls Manager to oversee the installation, programming, commissioning, and maintenance of Building Management Systems (BMS) across construction and existing building projects.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on expertise in automation systems, knowledge of BACnet/Modbus/LON, and the ability to lead cross-functional coordination to ensure seamless system integration and optimal building performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related discipline.
Minimum 5 years as controls technician, automation engineer, or similar role.
Hands-on with JCI FX, Metasys, and Niagara tools.
Strong knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, and LON protocols.
Experience in installation, wiring, programming, and commissioning of BMS.

Responsibilities

Oversee installation and wiring of BMS controllers, sensors, actuators, and field devices.
Program, configure, and test BMS using FX, Metasys, and Niagara.
Conduct system commissioning, functional testing, and performance verification.
Coordinate with contractors and vendors for timely procurement and installation.
Monitor system performance and identify energy-saving opportunities.
Provide on-site technical support and training to maintenance teams.
Prepare as-built wiring diagrams, commissioning reports, and logs.
Ensure compliance with NY safety regulations and industry standards.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
