Job summary

Datamatics Technologies LLC in Islamabad is seeking an AI Platform Operations Engineer to manage and govern enterprise AI platforms on Microsoft Azure, ensuring secure, scalable onboarding and operation of Generative AI workloads.

You will operate Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI and APIM, support onboarding of GenAI and agentic workloads, enforce guardrails and governance, and monitor performance with Azure Monitor and Application Insights.

Qualifications

3+ years of hands-on Microsoft Azure experience.
Deep knowledge of Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, and Azure AI services.
Experience with APIM and API exposure patterns.
Understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, and agentic AI concepts.
Experience implementing guardrails and Responsible AI controls.
Familiarity with AI observability and performance monitoring.
Proficiency with Azure monitoring tools (Monitor, Insights, Log Analytics).
Security focus: RBAC, Managed Identities, Key Vault, networking.

Responsibilities

Operate Azure AI platform services and related platform-level services.
Support onboarding of Nexus AI, GenAI and agentic workloads using landing zones and governance gates.
Assist with AI gateway/APIM exposure, connectivity, and production readiness checks.
Ensure workloads are onboarded with guardrails, observability, and cost attribution.
Monitor prompt/model performance and validate dashboards and alerts.
Coordinate incidents and onboarding issues with cross-functional teams.
Maintain onboarding checklists and operational runbooks.
