Job summary

Datamatics Technologies seeks an experienced AI Platform Operations Engineer to manage and govern enterprise AI platforms on Microsoft Azure. You will onboard Generative AI workloads and ensure secure, scalable operation with proper guardrails and cost controls.

You will operate Azure AI Foundry/OpenAI services, APIM exposure, and observability tools, while coordinating with cross-functional teams to maintain reliability and governance across the platform.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on Microsoft Azure administration/operations.
• Experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Services.
• Experience with APIM and API exposure patterns.
• Knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG and Agentic AI concepts.
• Experience implementing AI guardrails, content filtering, and Responsible AI controls.
• Familiarity with AI observability, monitoring, logging and performance tracking.
• Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics and cost management.
• Understanding of Azure security, RBAC, Managed Identities, Key Vault and networking.
• Strong incident/problem management and stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities

• Operate Azure AI platform services (Foundry/OpenAI) and related platform services.
• Onboard Nexus GenAI and agentic workloads using landing zones and governance gates.
• Manage AI gateway/APIM exposure, API connectivity, and production readiness checks.
• Assist use-case teams with environment readiness, identity, and deployment verification.
• Ensure guardrails, content safety, observability, quotas, and cost attribution for AI workloads.
• Monitor prompts/models and validate dashboards, alerts and health indicators.
• Integrate with MCP interfaces, data products, event streams, and operational data stores.
• Track incidents, onboarding issues, risks and dependencies; coordinate with teams.
• Maintain onboarding checklists, runbooks, governance evidence and handover materials.
