Job summary
Jobtailor is seeking an experienced UNIX/Linux administrator to support large-scale environments across Red Hat, AIX, and Oracle Linux stacks. The role covers OS upgrades, hardening, patching, virtualization with VMware/OpenShift, and cloud portal management.
The candidate will handle 24/7 BAU incidents, automation with shell scripts, firmware upgrades, and exposure to Exadata/engineered hardware. Prior experience with CIS baselines and vulnerability management is essential.
Qualifications
- Experience in UNIX platforms support in a large-scale environment.
- Full exposure with Redhat Linux, IBM AIX, HP UNIX, Oracle Linux and other flavors of Linux
- Proficient with Redhat, AIX upgrades, performing OS migrations
- Experience with Hardening and exposure to security standards like CIS baselines, Vulnerability management
- Possess skills in Virtualization technologies like VMware, Redhat OpenShift, IBM VIOS, HP VSP
- OS Patching IBM AIX, HP-UNIX, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Redhat satellites and other flavors of Linux
- IBM Power Hardware, Oracle Exadata, HP, Dell, x86 Hardwares installation and configuration
- Experience with Shell scripting and Automation
- Experience with Firmware upgrades for Server hardware
- Experience with Hyper converged hardware and engineered hardware such as Oracle Exadata
- 24*7 Support BAU Incident, Change and Problem Management
- Support project activities, Server builds, Cloud portal management
- Exposure to Docker, Containers, Kubernetes
- OS Installations, Application Deployments, Monitoring health, capacity and performance
- Azure Cloud Virtualization Management
