Job summary

Audit Alliance LLP in Islamabad is seeking an Audit Senior to lead engagements from planning through completion. You will supervise junior staff, review work for accuracy, and liaise with clients to discuss findings and recommendations.

The role requires strong knowledge of auditing standards, IFRS, and internal controls, with experience in external audits of public or cross-border clients preferred. This is an on-site position based in Islamabad.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards, financial reporting frameworks (e.g., IFRS), and internal controls.
• Proficiency in audit planning, risk assessment, sampling techniques, and documentation of working papers.
• Effective communication and client management skills, including the ability to explain findings and recommendations clearly.
• Team leadership and people development capabilities, with experience supervising and reviewing the work of junior staff.
• High level of professional integrity, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfort with audit software and productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word, audit management systems); data analytics exposure is an advantage.
• Relevant professional qualification (e.g., CA, ACCA, CPA) or progress toward such certification.
• Prior experience in external audit with a public accounting firm; experience with listed or cross-border clients is a plus.

Role Description

The Audit Senior is a full-time, on-site role based in Islamabad. This position is responsible for leading audit engagements from planning to completion, including risk assessment, execution of audit procedures, and preparation of working papers and reports. The role involves supervising and coaching junior team members, reviewing their work for accuracy and compliance, and ensuring engagement deadlines and quality standards are met. The Audit Senior will liaise with clients to understand business processes, discuss audit findings, and provide practical recommendations. Additional responsibilities include staying current with relevant accounting and auditing standards, supporting internal quality control initiatives, and contributing to continuous improvement of audit methodologies.
