Job summary

Mashreq is seeking an Assistant Manager, Treasury Ops for its Core Banking Program in Pakistan. The role leads end-to-end delivery of a next-generation core banking platform across multiple geographies, ensuring timely completion and alignment with business goals.

The incumbent will drive complex projects, manage cross-border teams, and engage stakeholders to minimize disruption and maximize global consistency while adopting an Agile working model.

Qualifications

• Master degree with 10-15 years in diverse banking experience with additional Project Management knowledge / Certification or equivalent practical experience.
• Cross border team management experience.
• Strong organizational, team building and leadership qualities.
• Senior Stakeholder Management.
• Collaborates and Integrates work with other teams including Country Operations, Centralized Operations units, Business and Technology functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of the Core Banking Program across multiple geographies with minimal disruption to BAU.
• Interact with multiple disciplinary teams to ensure smooth implementation.
• Drive automated UAT and governance for Operations activities.
• Manage scope through approved change requests and maintain documentation of processes.
• Coordinate health checks, testing rounds, and GoLive readiness across in-scope countries.
• Develop talent and subject matter experts for deployment within the group.

Assistant Manager, Treasury Ops- Core Banking Program will lead a function by proactively driving the delivery of a next-generation Core Banking platform for Mashreq. Individual will be responsible for the end-to-end management (from start of the program till implementation across 6 geographies) and timely completion of Core Banking Program for a function.

Key Result Areas

Functional Lead will handle the Complex projects to ensure Implementation of the core banking upgrade in a function, under a planned and documented manner with minimum disruption to BAU. Program that will:

• Require interaction with multiple disciplinary teams
• Having high revenue impact by ensuring optimal automation.
• Identifying and addressing compliance/risk implications
• Business/technical analysis & solutioning to eliminate and minimize customizations and maximize global consistency
• Deliver optimal levels of Operations automated UAT
• Strong stakeholder engagement across business units and geographies
• Strong project governance for Operations activities
• Successful delivery of Operations deliverables as per agreed time & cost project plans
• Project management demonstrating waypoints to a successful GoLive across in scope countries, with minimal unplanned customer, operational, financial impacts
• Ensure that the scope of the program and the various components is controlled. Analyze and amend the scope based on approved change requests
• Coordinate health check reviews. Ensure adequate rounds of testing are planned and executed prior to implementation.
• Ensure documentation of all processes including changes are maintained for reference.
• Adapting Program Management to an Agile Working model
• Develop talent that specializes in the new core for deployment in the group as subject matter experts.
