Job summary

Mashreq is seeking a Power BI specialist to design, develop and maintain BI solutions across on-premises and cloud data lakes. You will translate business needs into technical specs, create visualizations and reports, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable BI platforms.

Responsibilities include building advanced dashboards, optimizing DAX, integrating data from SQL Server, Excel, and cloud sources, and ensuring data security with RLS.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in Power BI development, data modeling, and DAX.
• Strong SQL skills for data extraction and analysis.
• Experience with Power BI Service for deployment and report sharing.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Microsoft Power BI certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver BI solutions.
• Create and optimize DAX measures, calculations, and data transformations.
• Integrate and transform data from multiple sources, including SQL Server, Excel, and cloud platforms.
• Implement data security practices, including row-level security (RLS).
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, ensuring data accuracy and report efficiency.
• Hands on BI development, dashboarding and data modeling and reporting (ad hoc report generation) techniques.
• Knowledge in automating the MS office driven business packs, reports to reduce manual error prone efforts.
• Design & development of reports in formats such as MS Office suites/PDF/HTML.
• Should have hands-on designing the pixel perfect reports in PPT/HTML format via BI tools.
• Must be good at Data transformation, the creation of data files and building front end logics.
• Worked on end-to-end Application Development from initial requirement gathering to release of the product.
• Strong database design and SQL skills. Experienced in RDMS such as MS SQL Server, Oracle etc.
• Strong communication skills to deliver technical insights and interpret data reports to clients.
• Hands on Dev hub for creating extensions and mashups. Rest API’s integration
• Hands on Git repository & version control software
• Experience with Big Data ecosystems

Job description

• Design, develop and maintain business intelligence solutions, including data analytics platform and reporting tools. Hand On experience on Power BI tool.
• Translate business needs into technical specification and create visualizations and reports.
• Our core function spans multiple platforms like Enterprise Data Lake, Azure Data Lake, Business Intelligence, Advanced Analytics and Realtime Streaming platforms.
• Work involves developing new requirements in both on-premises and cloud data lake’s estimating the efforts, designing an effective solution. Also, handling critical applications that influence bank’s management decision making process, regulatory reporting (which can influence financial/non-financial penalties) and operational reporting.
