Contour Software Pvt Ltd, based in Karachi, is seeking an Assistant Manager Finance to lead financial operations under the Onshore Manager. The role focuses on accurate record-keeping, reporting, and compliance with IFRS standards, while supporting strategic pricing and intercompany processes.

The candidate will manage AR, aging, accruals, tax filings, and month-end close, ensuring timely and accurate financial information for quarterly reviews.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in a leadership role in finance/ accounting.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS-15/IFRS-16; acquisition accounting a plus.
• Proven ability to manage and prioritize deliverables in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills; proficient MS Office incl. advanced Excel.
• Experience with Great Plains is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financials for business units and generate reports.
• Prepare AR aging and follow up with customers.
• Record allowances for doubtful debts; manage revenues/expenses per CSI policies.
• Prepare month-end balance sheet schedules and reconciliations.
• Manage intercompany reconciliations and IC settlements.
• Oversee payables, invoicing, and vendor payments.
• Handle treasury functions including cash receipts and bank reconciliations.
• Manage fixed assets additions and retirement; depreciation tracking.
• Review contracts for pricing adjustments and renewals; assist with quarterly financial reporting.
• Drive integration of BU financial systems across the organization.

The Position:

We are seeking a qualified Assistant Manager Finance reporting directly to the Onshore Manager for one of its verticals. The successful candidate will be able to accurately maintain financial records and reports, preparation and generation of monthly financial analysis reports, have a strong understanding of the intricacies of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other financial transactions within an organization. The Assistant Manager will have excellent communication, business, and analytical skills. This individual should be efficient, resourceful to accomplish the financial and operational reporting needs of the organization.

Responsibilities

• The resource will be responsible for maintaining accurate financials for business units, including:
• Prepare AR aging and follow up with customers
• Identifying any outstanding invoices and recording allowance for doubtful debts (AFDA), where necessary.
• Accrue, defer, and classify revenues and expenses following CSI policies
• Preparation and filing of sales tax
• Maintain accurate balance sheet account reconciliations
• Reconcile intercompany on monthly basis and settle IC balances quarterly.
• Payables management; ensure compliance with the invoice approval process and timely payments to vendors.
• Treasury management (cash receipt application, bank reconciliations, collections)
• Fixed Assets Management (fixed asset additions, fixed retirement, reconciliation)
• Prepare month-end balance sheet schedules
• Maintaining and generating invoices (including calculating usage and credits) and transmitting those to customers
• Track contract renewal dates; notify the account management team 3 months in advance of each renewal date to support price increases and renewal efforts.
• Review and assess client contracts to ensure accurate implementation of pricing adjustments.
• Provide financial reporting, including financial reporting required for quarterly reviews.
• Drive greater integration of the BUs' financial and informational systems.

Professional Acumen

• Be proactive and eager to contribute and learn, ask lots of questions, and provide solutions.
• Maintaining a continuous improvement mindset and proactively identify, review, and implement process improvements.
• When not receiving information or support required, proactively, and aggressively identify and elevate this. Don't accept roadblocks.

Technical and Educational Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in a leadership role.
• Financial knowledge in the software / IT field, specifically with financial operations and accounting guidelines.
• A strong understanding of accounting guidelines, particularly IFRS-15 and IFRS-16 is strongly preferred, and acquisition accounting is a plus.
• Ability to manage and prioritize competing deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including advanced use of Excel workbooks and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Great Plains is required.
• Master of Business Administration in Accounting & Finance, Professionally qualified accountant strongly preferred.
