Job summary

Zong 5G is seeking an Assistant Manager Converged Packet Core to manage PS Core and related 4G/5G core elements. The role involves coordinating with vendors, cross-functional teams, and driving modernization efforts while ensuring seamless service delivery.

The candidate will plan expansions, validate configurations, and automate repetitive tasks using Python or PowerShell, with a focus on operational excellence and documentation integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5-6 years of experience in Telecommunications, specifically in PS Core / Packet Core network operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations and administration of PS Core network elements, including MME, SGW, PGW, UGW, PCRF, DNS and associated 4G/5G Core nodes.
• Plan and execute PS Core network expansions, integrations, migrations, software upgrades and technology modernization initiatives.
• Review HLD/LLD, validate network configurations, prepare MOPs/SOPs, manage network changes and ensure configuration standardization.
• Coordinate with vendors and cross-functional teams for new service launches, commercial requirements, project execution and operational excellence.
• Oversee PS Core service enablement and configuration requirements for new products, APNs, and commercial offerings.
• Drive automation of repetitive PS Core operational activities using Python, PowerShell, or other scripting tools.
• Maintain technical documentation, network inventories, configuration records and operational procedures

Job Purpose:

• To manage and ensure seamless operations of PS Core networks, covering 2G/3G/4G/5G Core elements, service configurations, network integration and technology upgrades. Drive PS Core network expansion, modernization and service delivery through effective technical execution, vendor coordination and cross-functional collaboration.
