Job summary

ARAR Group is seeking an Area Manager Operations to lead a large field team and oversee solid waste management across the assigned region. You will drive service delivery, safety, and compliance while coordinating with local authorities and stakeholders.

The role requires a Bachelor's or Master’s degree and 4–5 years of relevant experience in operations, with a focus on performance monitoring, project management, and data analysis to optimize resource allocation and service quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 4–5 years of relevant experience in operations leadership, preferably in waste management.
• Strong skills in team leadership, performance monitoring, and project management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day solid waste management operations within the assigned area/zone.
• Ensure waste collection, lifting, transportation and disposal meet standards.
• Monitor KPIs and project targets; take corrective actions when needed.
• Supervise field staff, drivers, and supervisors; ensure deployment and productivity.
• Plan routes, shifts and resources to maximize efficiency and minimize gaps.
• Maintain accurate operational records and resolve public complaints with stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, contracts and directives.
• Any other tasks assigned by Management.

Description:

The Area Manager Operations at ARAR Group is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing and directing all aspects of operations within the assigned region, focusing primarily on solid waste management. The role requires a dynamic individual who can effectively manage a large team of 2000 personnel, ensuring that waste collection, transportation, and processing activities are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with environmental regulations. This position demands someone who can strategically align operational activities with organizational objectives and continuously monitor performance to foster operational excellence. The successful candidate drives project management initiatives and employs data analysis and reporting to optimize service delivery and resource allocation. This role calls for a professional with strong skills in operations management, team leadership, and performance monitoring, coupled with a deep understanding of solid waste management systems. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or a related field, as well as a minimum of 4-5 years of relevant experience, is required to meet the challenges and responsibilities of this position.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage day-to-day solid waste management operations within the assigned area/zone, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted service delivery.


• Ensure effective waste collection, lifting, transportation, and disposal activities in accordance with the approved operational plan and service standards.


• Monitor operational performance against contractual KPIs, and project targets, and take timely corrective actions where required.


• Supervise field staff, drivers, sanitary workers, supervisors, and other operational personnel, ensuring proper deployment, attendance, discipline, and productivity.


• Ensure optimal utilization, availability, and operational readiness of vehicles, machinery, and equipment deployed within the assigned area.


• Plan and monitor collection routes, manpower deployment, shifts, and operational resources to maximize efficiency and minimize service gaps.


• Conduct regular field inspections and maintain accurate operational records, including daily progress, attendance, fleet utilization, complaints, and KPI performance.


• Ensure timely resolution of public complaints and coordinate with Tehsil Management, local authorities, and other relevant stakeholders.


• Ensure compliance with company Sops, contractual requirements, and management directives while identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and service quality.


• Any other task as assigned by the Management.
