Turing is seeking a Software Engineer Pod Lead on a 5-week contractor basis, remote across India, Pakistan, and other countries. You will contribute to Connectors and Tasks tracks, building backend environments and realistic agent tasks with strong Python.

You should have solid Python backend experience, experience shipping reliable services, and comfort with AI-coding tools and cloud tech. The role emphasizes independent work, rigorous QA, and clear technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong backend python development experience and ability to ship reliable services.
• Ability to work across unfamiliar codebases and tools with clear QA feedback.
• Excellent written communication for technical docs and rubric writing.

Responsibilities

• Build Python backend applications that simulate real SaaS tools.
• Develop digital-work environments for AI agents to interact with tools and data.
• Mine real-world workflows to model enterprise processes.
• Author and validate long-horizon agent tasks with multi-step reasoning.
• Write precise evaluation rubrics for task quality and correctness.
• Perform end-to-end QA and debug failures across environments.
• Identify edge cases and ambiguities before tasks ship.
• Leverage AI coding tools throughout development, debugging, and QA workflows.
