Job summary

Evernex in Pakistan is seeking a Finance Accountant to strengthen our accounting function. You will manage client invoicing, supplier bookkeeping, expenses, and monthly closings for the assigned entities.

The role requires a BS in accounting, 3 years of corporate experience, VAT/tax filing knowledge, and proficiency in MS Office, QuickBooks, and Zoho. Fluent English and independently driven, you will report to the Finance Manager MEA and support accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in Accounting/Business Administration.
• 3 years relevant experience in corporate accounting/finance.
• Knowledge of VAT and annual tax filing.
• Detailed knowledge of accounting standards and reporting.
• Fluent in English.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks and Zoho accounting software.
• Ability to work independently and think analytically.

Responsibilities

• Client invoicing and collection (Accounts Receivable) and supplier bookkeeping and payment (Accounts Payable).
• Monthly processing of employee expenses and bank & intercompany reconciliations.
• Monthly financial close and preparation of close reports.
• Liaise with external consultants for timely information.
• Ensure financial reports to the Finance Manager MEA in the reporting system.

How Will You Make an Impact?

You are responsible for, but not limited to:

• Client invoicing and collection (Accounts Receivable), supplier bookkeeping and payment (Accounts Payable), monthly processing of employee expenses, bank reconciliation, intercompany reconciliation, monthly financial closing report.
• Responsible for full accounting functions, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all finance and accounting tasks for the assigned entities.
• Drive consistent and effective policies and procedures during the monthly close process including account reconciliations, bookkeeping, accruals, and year-end financial audit.
• liaise with external consultants in a timely manner.
• Ensure financial reports to the Finance Manager MEA in the reporting system.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 3 years relevant experience in corporate accounting/finance.
• Previous experience in tax filing (e.g., VAT, annual tax return, withholding).
• Detailed knowledge of accounting and other relevant reporting standards.
• Fluent in English.

• Knowledge of QuickBooks and Zoho accounting software.
• Ability to work independently and think analytically.
