Qualifications

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Workato AI Specialist to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust and scalable Automation/Genie solutions using the Workato platform, with a strong focus on leveraging its AI capabilities to automate complex business processes and connect disparate applications. You will play a crucial part in enhancing our operational efficiency, enabling seamless data flow, and driving digital transformation initiatives across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• AI-Powered Automation: Utilize Workato's AI capabilities (e.g., AI by Workato connector, IDP by Workato, Agentic AI) to build intelligent automations, including but not limited to:
  • Genie development and deployment
  • Implementing natural language processing (NLP) for text analysis, categorization, and drafting.
  • Developing intelligent document processing (IDP) solutions for data extraction and reconciliation.
  • Designing and deploying AI agents for autonomous task execution and decision-making within workflows.
  • Leveraging Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems for context-aware responses from large language models (LLMs).
• Application Integration: Establish and maintain secure, reliable, and efficient integrations between a diverse range of applications (e.g., Netsuite, Coupa, Concur, Zuora and other applications) using Workato connectors, APIs (REST, SOAP), webhooks, and other integration patterns.
• Solution Design & Architecture: Lead and collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, and IT teams to understand integration requirements, define technical specifications, and propose optimal Workato-based solutions that align with business objectives and technical standards.
• Data Transformation & Mapping: Expertly handle data transformation, mapping, and enrichment across integrated systems, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and consistency.
• Error Handling & Monitoring: Implement robust error handling mechanisms, logging, and monitoring solutions for Workato recipes to ensure high availability and quick resolution of integration issues.
• Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of Workato integrations, identifying and addressing bottlenecks to ensure efficient execution.
• Documentation & Best Practices: Create comprehensive technical documentation for Workato recipes, integration architectures, and operational procedures. Promote and enforce Workato best practices, governance, and security standards.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Provide expert‑level troubleshooting and support for Workato integrations, diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.
• Continuous Learning: Stay up‑to‑date with the latest Workato features, AI advancements, and industry trends in integration and automation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven 4+ years of hands‑on experience in designing, developing, and deploying Genie using Workato platform.
• Strong understanding of Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) concepts and enterprise application integration (EAI) patterns.
• Demonstrated experience with Workato's AI capabilities, including building solutions with AI by Workato, IDP, or Agentic AI.
• Proficiency in working with various APIs (REST, SOAP), webhooks, and different data formats (JSON, XML, CSV).
• Solid understanding of database concepts and experience with SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills with keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Workato certifications (e.g., Automation Pro I, II, III, Integration Developer) are highly desirable.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

• Experience with other integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, Zapier).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
