Job summary

Bosch Service Solutions, Inc. is seeking an Automation Specialist to evaluate feasibility of automation projects, design optimized process flows, and develop RPA and low-code solutions using Python/Java scripting, APIs, and SQL databases.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, lead UAT, support go-live, monitor production, and explore AI-enabled enhancements while adhering to governance and security standards. Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years' experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• 3–5 years of experience in automation or digital process development.
• Hands-on exposure to RPA and workflow-based solutions.
• Experience with RPA platforms (Automation Anywhere or similar).
• Background in workflow/orchestration platforms (Power Platform/OutSystems).
• Scripting in Python or Java (or similar).
• Experience with APIs, web services, integrations (REST/SOAP).
• Databases and SQL-based systems (e.g., SQL Server).
• Awareness of AI and Intelligent Automation concepts (OCR/NLP/ML).
• Prompt engineering for LLMs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designs optimized process flows with stakeholders, balancing simplicity, maintainability, and scalability.
• Designs, develops, tests, and deploys RPA bots, workflow automations, and low-code/no-code applications; supports scripts and integrations.
• Supports or leads automation projects with Project Managers, Product Owners, and RPA Leads, ensuring timelines and budgets.
• Conducts User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and supports go-live and hypercare phases.
• Monitors and continuously improves production automation solutions for stability and performance.
• Identifies opportunities to apply AI-enabled capabilities to enhance automation outcomes.
• Contributes to automation governance, security, and best practices.
• Collaborates with global automation and digital teams to share learnings and reusable components.
• Supports documentation, knowledge sharing, and enablement activities to strengthen automation maturity.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborates with business and technical stakeholders to design optimized process flows, balancing simplicity, maintainability, and scalability.

• Designs, develops, tests, and deploys:

  • RPA bots,

  • Supports scripts and integrations (Python, Java, etc.)

• Supporta or lead aautomation projects in partnership with Project Managers, Product Owners, and RPA Leads, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and budget

• Conducta User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and support go-live and hypercare phases

• Monitora, supporta, and continuously improve production automation solutions, ensuring stability, performance, and compliance

• Identify opportunities to apply AI-enabled capabilities to enhance automation outcomes (e.g., document processing, intent detection, smart validations)

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, Business, or a related field

• 3 to 5 years of experience in automation or digital process development, with hands-on exposure to RPA and workflow-based solutions

• Experience spanning both low-code/no-code tools and traditional scripting or programming

• Solid hands-on experience with RPA platforms (e.g., Automation Anywhere, or similar)

• Background or working knowledge in workflow and orchestration platforms (e.g., Power Platforms, Outsystems, or equivalent low-code/no-code tools)

• Practical scripting or development experience in at least one of the following: Python or Java (preferred), JavaScript, C#, VBA, or PowerShell

• Experience working with APIs, web services, and integrations (REST/SOAP)

• Exposure to databases and SQL-based systems (e.g., SQL Server)

• Awareness of AI and Intelligent Automation concepts, such as: OCR, NLP, ML models, AI-assisted decisioning, Generative AI or AI services used within automation workflows (hands-on experience is a plus, not mandatory)

• Preferred: Experience in prompt engineering for large language models (LLMs), including designing, testing, and refining prompts to drive reliable AI outputs within automation workflows
