Job summary

ThinkBIT Solutions Phils. Inc. is looking for a WordPress Developer to build scalable websites and customize themes. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality WP solutions and integrate REST APIs using PHP and JavaScript.

You will employ HTML5, CSS3, and jQuery to create responsive interfaces, while aligning with ThinkBIT’s development lifecycle. A background with Drupal/Shopify/Squarespace is a plus, and a Bachelor's in CS/IT plus 1+ year WP experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/College Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of working experience in the related field.
• Required Skill(s): json, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with other CMS platforms: Drupal, Shopify, and Squarespace.
• Preferably 1-4 yrs experienced IT/Software professional.

Responsibilities

• Focus on developing WordPress sites in adherence to industry best practices and ThinkBIT’s project life cycle.
• Collaborate with teams in completing project requirements; and
• Expand knowledge in related technologies.
• Set up development environment (e.g., XAMPP) if unable to provision ThinkBIT’s environment.
• Install and configure WordPress plugins and design/customize WordPress themes.
• Ensure to maximize the use of WordPress functionality.
• Participate in planning and providing input to work estimations.
• Timely reporting and communication of development progress, risks, and issues.
• Have a good understanding of front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JS, jQuery).
• Build user interfaces for websites and/or web applications.
• Design and develop responsive websites.
• Develop WordPress web apps with PHP and JavaScript.
• Integrate with REST APIs and third-party plugins.
• Interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML).
• Convert layouts/wireframes into working HTML pages.
• Proficient with Git, SourceTree.
