Virtual Staff 365 is hiring a Web Developer (WordPress) to support the marketing team with day-to-day website and email tasks, plus technical maintenance. You will handle routine edits, troubleshoot issues, and apply template fixes to keep client sites running smoothly.

The role emphasizes hands-on WordPress management, basic HTML/CSS knowledge, and safe use of AI tools to debug code. This is a full-time remote position, with Australian-time daytime alignment and health benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Website Maintenance & Updates: basic page updates, content population, layout adjustments on WordPress sites.
• Troubleshoot website, layout, form, and plugin problems; test across devices/browsers.
• Follow processes and escalate undefined issues to senior teammates.
• Email & Technical Support: assist marketing coordinators with daily tasks and email templates.
• Respond to technical inquiries and turn around small requests efficiently.
• Problem Solving & AI Utilization: use AI tools to research solutions, write detailed prompts, verify suggestions before live deployment.

They are now seeking to hire a Web Developer (WordPress) to support their marketing team with day-to-day website, email, and technical maintenance requests. The purpose of this role is to handle routine web edits, troubleshooting, and template fixes to ensure client websites run smoothly and efficiently.

Job Responsibilities

Website Maintenance & Updates

• Handle basic page updates, content population, and layout adjustments across WordPress sites
• Troubleshoot common website, layout, form, and plugin problems
• Test all changes across various devices and browsers to confirm proper functionality before handing work back
• Follow established processes strictly and flag any instructions that are unclear
• Escalate issues that fall outside the defined scope to senior team members

Email & Technical Support

• Assist marketing coordinators with day-to-day email and technical tasks
• Fix email template issues and adjust formatting as required
• Respond promptly to technical enquiries and turn around small requests efficiently

Problem Solving & AI Utilization

• Use AI tools safely to research solutions, learn underlying concepts, and debug code
• Write clear, detailed prompts to explain technical issues, code snippets, and attempted fixes
• Verify all AI-generated suggestions and code before applying them to live environments

Requirements

• High level of written English communication skills
• Proven hands-on experience navigating and updating WordPress pages, content, and settings
• Working knowledge of basic HTML and CSS to fix layouts, edit email templates, and adjust page content
• Strong attention to detail with a habit of checking work thoroughly before submitting
